Cars & Fun Time

here we have a small amount of car sites just to kick off this section. More to come later.

This site is probably got nothing to do with driving. OK, perhaps in some ways.

Its simply about the Internet and items the manager has found being fun.

A little about Ken (the managing director of E.D.A) Benson-Clarke the founder of the company. Ken is a qualified driving instructor and a driving instructor training officer.

Ken has been heavily involved in motor vehicles since 9 years of age. Now in his 50s ken still plays with cars and has many hobbies. One is the computer industry where he has a computer shop and operates several computer outlet franchisee's.

Ken has played with cars since a kid and now in his spare time is halfway through building his latest CUSTOM car. This project originally started a few years ago with a three year old MARINA Van which was quickly converted to a Pickup.

Then came the rear end revamp which was a Jaguar Axle. Next the roof was lowered and raked. Recently a fully tuned MGB engine has been installed. Pictures will follow later but it has 12" (320cm) rear ali wheels and 8" (220cm) at the front.

It has all the power stuff like race pipes (exhaust), one engine has 270/2 Wild camshaft while another has 320 full race cam, high compression pistons, fully flowed and polished big valve head, Bored block to 2.1 litre which is a long way from the original 1800cc. Twin HS6 1.3/4 SU carbs which have been gas flowed. The latest of four engines in being converted to Nitrous Oxide and intended to run at Santa Pod Bedford, perhaps next year.

Ken often attends RACE OPEN Days with what ever hot car he has and competes. Those students with an interest should contact the office. At times up to three students can accompany his on these events.

Watch this site for custom and car web site links, pictures etc.

This years power plants. Three others being built.
